Today, Penwest and Endo Pharmaceuticals settled litigation with Impax Laboratories regarding the production and sale of generic formulations of OPANA® ER (oxymorphone hydrochloride) Extended Release tablets. Under the deal, Impax was granted a license to sell a generic version of Endo and Penwest's Opana ER on Jan. 1, 2013, or earlier under certain circumstances. Cascade Corporation (NYSE: CASC) is currently trading at 32.44, up 4.90 or 17.79% for the day. On Monday, it reported a first quarter profit of $5.7 million, after losing money during the same period last year. Its profit worked out to 51 cents per share for the quarter ended April 30, up from a loss of almost $12.1 million or $1.12 per share a year earlier.
