Document Capture Technologies Up 48%

Document Capture Technologies produces a wide variety of USB powered scanners to easily produce physical, written documents into electronic format. The newest product from DCMT is the DocketPort 488 a compact scanner with a resolution of 600 x 1200 DPI and compatible with Windows 7, vista, XP, 2003 and 2000. Currently, e-documents are growing in demand. The ability of a business to move documents quickly and efficiently have become a necessity, rather than a commodity. I know at our office we no longer have any use for a fax machine. Scanning + Email = new fax.

Currently, Document Capture Technologies Inc is trading at .37 up .120 or 48% today, last Monday the company announced that Ms. Roseann Larson would be filling in the spot left by Mr. William Hawkin’s recent resignation, effective on June 8th 2010. Mr. Hawkins will remain as the COO, President and Secretary.

"This senior appointment brings significant benefit to DCT's Board as well as to our management team and shareholders. The Company looks forward to the addition of Ms. Larson's extensive global experience, resources and contact network to enhance our operational efficiency as well as contribute to our strategic development and position us for further success," said David P. Clark, CEO of Document Capture.

Recently, DCMT reported first quarter earnings logging revenues of 3.4 million or a 70% increase from a year ago to date. Net income available to common shareholders was $55,000 in Q1 2010, a 109% improvement from Q1 2009. The success of the company was accredited to improving economic conditions and increasing popularity of electronic document transfers.
