Went to Path Fork in Harlan County Kentucky on our annual 4 wheeling trip. Got to go to the Hensley Settlement up a very rugged and horribly rocky old wagon/mule trail. Our guides grandfather settled the place in 1903 later selling in around 1952 to the state and it became a state park. Being a Hensley our guide gets to go there every year for the Hensley reunion. It was an awesome trip up. rough and treacherous but well worth the trip. The photo above is of that settlement. The link will give you some info on it. Tourists drive up a blacktop road from the other side of the mountain.
