Bausch & Lomb continues to suffer from lawsuits as a result of the recall from MoistureLoc solution.

It is now estimated that MoistureLoc could wind up costing as much as $500 million.  2.3 million of the nation's 30 million soft lens wearers used MoistureLoc, generating $100 million in annual sales.  While Bausch says it has settled "the vast majority of fungal infection cases," it is challenging another 500-plus lawsuits linking MoistureLoc to assorted bacterial, viral and parasitic afflictions. A pretrial hearing set for June 3-5 in New York will decide if there's a reliable scientific basis for arguing such a link.
