U.S. Market Holding Steady

This morning, the ADP job report was released, analysts had expected a gain of 200,000 new private sector jobs, however, ADP reported a gain of 325,000 new jobs. This report is a major surprise to the upside and it raises the expectations for tomorrow's non-farm payroll report by the U.S. Labor Department. The S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES H2) were trading sharply lower earlier this morning, however, they have bounced back a bit after the ADP job report. The S&P 500 Index e-mini futures are trading lower by 3.50 points to 1269.50 per contract. Earlier today the economic data released out of Europe was not very good. France had a very lackluster bond auction and German retail sales declined for second straight month. Hungary also had a failed bond auction.
