Another Gap Higher Open To Start The Day

Once again, the major stock market indexes are starting the morning sharply higher. The S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES H2) are trading by 10.00 points to 1299.00 per contract. Many investors had expected the recent downgrades of many of the European countries by Standard & Poors to have more of a negative effect on the major stock indexes. This is certainly not the case today as the markets already had the bad news by the credit rating agency priced in. The problems in Greece will eventually surface and could effect the markets once the credit default swaps (CDS) trigger.
