Commenting on the preliminary second quarter results, Dr. Jean-Yves Dexmier, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said:

"Yahoo! Partners, our largest customer group, continued to be affected significantly by reduced payments following the Yahoo!-Bing Search Alliance integration and consequently lower revenues to LookSmart. ......Although we are witnessing improvement in June in that line of business, we continue to aggressively pursue our diversification strategy, both on the direct advertising and the publisher network sides."

Oh really!!

With stated cash of $25.6M (end of Q1 2011) Looksmart's market cap on yesterday's close,has gone below this level. Yes that's unbelievable. But is so typical of what an 'un-informed' market (with Market Makers acting on behalf of accumulators), can produce.

In regards to the independent scale offered by AdCenter, Looksmart has told us in the past:

<......."We believe that these performance features are comparable to those from each of the leading propriety search advertising platforms, but also that they are unique at scale among competing non-propriety search advertising networks.

....We fully understand that to replicate these performance features of scale would represent a significant engineering undertaking for any keyword search advertising provider

In the last CC held following Q1, the Looksmart CEO advised:

"..... one of the achievements [and, during the Q2 period, is what he was meaning I believe] has been to put in place a specialized team of account managers who are very experienced at managing Yahoo! and Google accounts. - And when you put together their skill sets with the intimate knowledge of the traffic coming from an ad network, you have a pretty unique combination of skills, which is not common in our industry.
