Looksmart - It's time to "dictaphone" up your 'cake-hole', surely?

IF a 1st impression really IS (said to be) 'a lasting impression', then the Bloomberg (their initial) transcript of (yesterday's) Looksmart's Q2 Conference Call WILL most certainly leave a lot to be desired.

Both shareholders and 'the market' will not make 'head nor tail' of a thing that Looksmart's interim CEO (Frenchman, Jean-Yves Dexmier), has said. And that, you CAN be assured of, Looksmart. It is surely time to 'grandfather' this format with the broadcast, following a Co's quarterly report.

Or (at the very least), have companies involved supply the 'service provider' with a 'typed-up' copy of what is read out (by them) within a call, following the call. Surely accuracy, is of the utmost importance? This initial offering is so full of errors, that it is laughable. UHmm? ..... almost contemptible!

Example: (From Transcript - LOOK_Q2.pdf)

"We are intensely focused about improving traffic quality. This is an important key to our local success and we will continue to invest in traffic quality over the coming quarters

As an LAN network, we did third party traffic for many different sources. Our customers expect us to evaluate the traffics source by source, click by click. And make sure that we deliver the traffic they need at the price they want with the quantity that makes its quite effective for them. "--" is the result of detail revolution of each individual traffic source using a guidance and not try to mention Nefex that dissect the traffic from a different perspective along with solution that we are progressively implementing in the setup in order to provide the required traffic to each client."

And my interpretation of the above, that I have taken from the [Listen to Event] webcast call:

""We are intensely focused about improving traffic quality. This is an important key to our local success and we will continue to invest in traffic quality over the coming quarters.

As an Ad network, we aggregated third party traffic from many different sources.

Our customers expect us to evaluate the traffic source by source, click by click and make sure that we deliver the traffic they need at the price they want with the quality that makes it such (so?) effective for them.

Quality, is the result of detailed evaluation of each individual traffic source using a guidance and not try to mention Metrics that dissect the traffic from a different perspectives along with several solutions that we are progressively implementing in the AdCenter, in order to provide the required traffic to each client."

*********************
Every paragraph contains alarming errors, such as:

"Finally as part of our objective to increase delivery efficiency with our clients, we have decided to directly our ENEA clients instead of relying on third party sales representatives in that region. As position to disclose we terminated search third party relationships "--" providing all the required services directly to those clients with smart personnel."

[How smart?] - Again, my own transcripted translation

"Finally as part of our objective to increase delivery efficiency with our clients, we have decided to directly, to part (?) our ENA clients instead of relying on third party sales representatives in that region. - As previously (?) disclosed we terminated search third party relationships and are now providing all the required services directly to those clients with Looksmart personnel."

Now interpretation (of the above) remains in the 'hands' of an individual. I have my 'own' feelings in this regard, that I may describe in another InstaPost and I have chosen here to stay on the topic of this post.

[ENA - Extended Network Addressing? (or, is it Advertising?)]

I'll close with part of my post to the Yahoo Finance LOOK board, made earlier.

GREEN again!!!!!!

WOW!!

Fantastic!!

A terrific reaction to what can only be described as being a MOST 'enlightening' Conference Call and such an incredible interpretation (try to get a copy of & read the CC Transcript yourselves), of ALL that the Looksmart CEO (A French-man Jean-Yves Dexmier) had advised shareholders, along with the marketplace.

It's 2010 yet we (the shareholders) have to put up with what must surely be THE most inefficient and 'antiquated' system of delivering a webcast [and transcripts of], that would exist in our entire world, today!!!

There can only be ONE reason for that Folks ... UHMmm?

Wouldn't it be much easier if Looksmart [all?] were to simply provide a 'typed' version to this archaic service provider (of the transcript and as was read out by "Jean-Yves"), so that we can ALL fully understand what he actually had to say, other than (only) just himself knowing, EXACTLY, what he said? - No, "we" couldn't do that ... And why?

There can only be ONE reason for that Folks ...(?) - And, it can ONLY happen, in the 'good-ole' US of A, of course!! (In the 'age of technology', too!!)

Yes .........There can only be ONE reason for that Folks ...
...........

And just as the late arriving telehone installer (with a speech impediment) was once so rudely told by an irate subscriber (when he himself had asked the question): "Where will I 'dictahone'? ...."You can stick it up your arse-hole, for all I care" ..........IS what I suggest that they (Looksmart) do with this 'tired' form of shareholder relationship and for what really IS such an "ancient" means of communication. - But I guess, there can only be the ONE reason for it remaining .... HMmm?
