An exclusive video interview with Invest AD Head of Asset Management, Mohammed Al Hashemi, following a report "Into Africa, Institutional Investors Intentions to 2016" written by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

Economist Intelligence UnitThe report is based on feedback from over 150 pensions funds, boutique and large scale asset managers and is designed to measure a clear view on the increasing interest in African investment.

The interview highlights that many investors have no exposure to Africa, although over the next five years this is expected to change with about a third of these investors having over a 5% allocation towards the continent. The rise of the middle class and greater consumer spend are two main themes investors are looking at. The report gives some fascinating forecasts and figures of what these markets are expected to deliver in the next few years.
