The "Chart of the Day" is Capital One Financial (COF), which showed up on Monday's list of stocks that had a new "Buy" signal from the Barchart "TrendSpotter" trading system. Capital One on Monday rallied by 2.23% to post a new 2-1/2 year high. In recent news on the stock, Capital One last Thursday posted strong Q1 earnings of $2.21 per share, far above the analyst consensus of $1.55. CLSA on Monday then upgraded Capital One to Outperform from Underperform. Capital One, with a market cap of $23 billion, is a leading U.S. credit card company.
