This morning I decided to use two of the best sources of investment information I know and team up the power of both. I have read and been fascinated with Value Line for almost 50 years. When I discovered my college had a subscription I went and read each new issue and have ever since About 10 years ago I was reading a Forbes article called Best of the Web and it rated Barchart as one of the best data sources on technical stock market investing. To this day I use both.

This morning I took the stocks Value Line Investment Survey rated 1&2. That equals the quartile that Value Line estimates will have the best chance for relative price appreciation and ran them through Barchart to find which ones had the highest Barchart technical buy signals, then used its Flipchart feature to review the charts.

When I use a list from a reliable source of those predicted to have the best momentum and filter it through another reliable source to find which is presently having the best momentum I should end up with some great stocks to consider.

Today's watch list includes Xcel Energy (XEL), Northwestern (NWE), Domino's Pizza (DPZ), Altria (MO) and American Water Works (AWK).
