It has approximately 32 million ounces of gold and four producing mines which all are located in northwest Tanzania. North Mara is an open pit gold mine consisting of three open pit deposits. Tulawaka is an open pit gold mine that has transitioned to an underground operation.

Fresnillo Plc (LON: FRES)
Frensillo Plc is a UK-based silver and gold mining company. It is engaged in the mining and beneficiation of non-ferrouse minerals, and the sale of related production. It's mainly contents include silver, gold, lead and zinc. As of December 31, 2011 it had five operating mines: Fresnillo, Herradura, Cienega, Soledad-Dipolos and Saucito. Its Herradura mine is located 125 kilometers northwest from the town of Caborca in the State of Sonora. As of December 31, 2011, Industrias Penoles S.A.B de C.V. owned a 77% interest in the Company.
Frensillo Plc has a market capitalization of 7.49 Billion, EPS is 0.67, P/E ratio is 15.06 and the dividend yield is 6.11% at the annual dividend payout of 27.83.
Anglo American Plc (LON: AAL)
Anglo American Plc is a mining company which focuses on platinum group metals, diamonds, copper, and nickel, and iron ore, metallurgical and thermal coal. Its portfolio include Bulk commodities which consists of Iron and Manganese, Metallurgical Coal and Thermal; Base Metals, which includes copper, nickel and niobium; Precious metals and minerals include platinum and diamonds and Other Mining and Industrial. The company has its operations in Africa, Brazil, Chile, North and South America, Australia, China, India, Japan and other Asia and Europe.

Hochschild Mining Plc (LON: HOC)
It is a United Kingdom-based company. Hochschild is engaged in the exploration, mining, processing and sale of silver and gold. The company has three operating mines and a plant located in Southern Peru, one operating mine located in Argentina and one plant located in Mexico. Its San Jose silver/gold mine is located in Argenita, in the province of Santa Cruz, 1,750 kilometers south-southwest of Buenos Aires. It has four advanced projects include Immaculada, Crespo and Azuca in Peru and te Volcan Gold project in Chile.
Its current market capitalization is 500.73 Million, EPS is 0.12, P/E ratio is 12.11 and the dividend yield is 2.61% at the annual dividend payout of 1.93.
Kazakhmys Plc (LON: KAZ)
It is a United Kingdom-based natural resource company which is along with its subsidiaries focuses on the production of copper. The company is engaged in the production of copper and other metals as by-products, including zinc, silver and gold and power generation. Its segments include Kazakhmys Mining, MKM Kazakhmys Power and Kazakhmys Petroleum business, which hold a license to conduct oil and gas exploration and development activity in the East Akzhar Exploration Block in western Kazakhstan. In May 2011, it completed the disposal of the small Maikuben West coal mine.
The company has a market capitalization of 1.31 Billion and the dividend yield is 2.88% at the annual dividend payout of 5.24.
