Last night the new Season of South Park premiered. We previously covered the FULL STORY previously on our home site, but this is too good not to share with followers here on SA.
We hope it brings a smile to your face (though may cause some concern). Evidently, thousands across the country reported that the episode activated their devices and gave it commands. Most impacted were Amazon (AMZN) Alexa powered devices and Google (GOOG) (GOOGL) Home devices.
We guess its an advantage that Apple's (AAPL) Siri requires user activation. No words on if new operating systems will be voice only activated for Siri, but after this amazing feat by South Park, would you really want it?
That also begs the question though...is this a vulnerability in the systems? Should it necessitate programming user voices to prevent this? Oddly, this may boost some sales just from people who want to prank, no?
