Different generations living at the same time experience the same events. But they experience those common events in different ways peculiar to their own generations that's because at any given time, different generations have different (longer or shorter) pasts that forged their generational personalities. And the latest generation doesn't have a "past," which is to say that it has the most to gain or lose by what's going on at any given time.
Having done a series earlier on the four different "turnings," here is a series on how the four "turnings" (epochs) were experienced by the five living, adult generations.
