Route1, a security and identity management company, today announced that it has received a purchase order from a second component of the United States Department of Defense. The purchase order for 1,950 MobiKEY users comprises 1,950 MobiKEY Fusion devices and subscriptions, bringing this component's MobiKEY paid, active user count and MobiKEY Fusion device count to 2,000 as at December 1, 2012.
The MobiKEY Fusion device is a patented identity validation device that supports government issued identity cards such as CAC, PIV and FRAC. This multi-factor authentication solution combines physical possession of the MobiKEY and an identity card, with computer and network access, helping government and defense organizations meet the United States Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).
Route1 boasts a diverse, distinguished customer base comprised of government entities and private business/enterprises worldwide. U.S. customers of particular note include the DoD, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Energy.
