Stock Market Hopefullness

Investors have been imprisoned to a trader’s market for almost two years. “Green shoots” beware and the hopefulness aside, it’s hard to imagine that the general public would have enough faith in our economic future to throw money back into stocks and let it ride as it were in IRA’s, 401k’s and the like. The devastating pain last March is just too fresh for the “buy and hold” or the “forget about it” types who fled screaming into the bushes at the scary bottom (S&P 667). I would think investors have a noticeably shorter holding period than average due to the volatility in the rear view mirror and possibly standing in front of us for years to come.
