RegMed Daily, Pre-Open, 10/3/11, starting Q4/11… in the red

To understand the gyrations in the RegMed universe’s market!  It might provide food for thought … and portfolio awareness.

US stock futures sink ahead of economic data. Another bad day ahead … with tremendous weakness across markets!!

Wall Street looked set to start Q4/11 on one foot Monday, 10/3/11 as stock-market futures dropped following the news that Greece will miss its deficit target for the year, though bid hopes lifted Yahoo Inc. in pre-market trading. Futures on the Dow dropped 28 points to 10,813 and those on the S&P’s 500 index were down 3 points at 1,123. NASDAQ 100 futures fell 12.5 points to 2,122.

European and Asian markets started Q4/11…  deep in the red, led by a 5.3% fall for the Hang Seng Composite inHong Kong amid … fears about cracks in the Chinese economy.

EconRecon: Today’s (10:30am) manufacturing ISM report will be the main focus from a data perspective, and as long as it holds above 50 should be risk-supportive, and consequently probably dollar-negative.
