RegMed Daily, Closing Bell, 10/20/11, the volatility index is up, heed the signs for uncertainty in markets

End of Day, Cause and Effect …

 

Stocks edged higher Thursday, as the indexes extended the see-saw trading that’s characterized most of the week.

In this market climate, there are … too many … elephants in the room … it is not just the EU … but, weak markets … political intransigence and the list could go on … our resolve to confront or be convinced … that small cap RegMed equities WILL come back … 

Could we base “premise” on maybe … one historical precedent that … what has gone down, usually goes back up … as it seems to be all macro versus the micro  attitudes.  I admit, there has not been much news to give us confidence …

 

Closing Bell: The NASDAQ closed DOWN -5.42 (-0.21%) to 2,598.62. The Dow closed UP +41.48 (-0.36%) to 11,546.10.
