RegMed Daily, Pre-Open, 11/22/11, the market indicates little change but, flat is better than yesterday’s down motion

Good morning! Here’s what you … might need to know to start the day … To understand the gyrations in the RegMed universe’s market!  It might provide food for thought … and portfolio awareness.

 

Stock futures edged … (slowly) higher on Tuesday, 11/21/11 as investors … still shocked by yesterday’s sell-off … awaited economic data and minutes from the … latest meeting’s of the monetary-policy committee.

Futures on the Dow gained 45 points to 11,570 and those on the S&P’s 500 stock index added 6.90 points to 1,197.6. NASDAQ 100 futures added 1.25 points to 2,214.7.

EU stock markets traded higher in choppy markets, rebounding from a steep selloff in the prior session. Asian stock markets spent most of Tuesday in negative territory, weighed by US and EU debt concerns, but the major indexes ended off their lows, with Hong Kong and Seoul closing with gains.
