Today was an easy day, buying only one stock with none to sell. Tomorrow, I'll have one to sell and three to buy.
Here's what happened today:
1) Bought GDBC (Golub Capital) - 369 shares @ $20.31. This stock pays a $118.08 dividend. The stock ended the day at $20.33 for only a $.02 gain for the day. There was a bit of up and down for the day but nothing too wild.
I did notice that the after hours price went to $20.50 but I don't know what, if any, reason there was for the increase. After hours is thinly traded and wild swings are possible on no news. We'll have to see how it opens tomorrow and where, if any, the profit is.
Tomorrow, in addition to selling GBDC, I'll be buying three stocks - GHL (Greenhill & Co), KSS (Kohl's) and TCAP (Triangle Capital Corp). These three stocks combine for a total of $452.45 in captured dividends.
Believe it or not, I'm coming up on the end of my fourth week of this strategy. So far, I'm ahead $1,463.88 for a $77.05/day average. Below my goal of $100/day but still encouraging. I'm having a blast working this strategy and I hope you're enjoying it. Give me a comment if you're enjoying it or if not, let me know that, too!
Monday is the last day of this strategy experiment. After Monday, I'll have a complete wrap-up of how the strategy went, give statistics and details.
Until tomorrow, happy trading!
