Summary

  • Now that the market-symphony is losing a lot of its star soloists, will the show go on?

This past week or two has perhaps seen a sort of "wrapping up" of a lot of the vibes that have defined the market's sort of "gestalt" for the past year or so.

__

To Recap;

Bezos is stepping down from the Amazon head-man position.

Musk is stepping away from Twitter.

"Wall Street Bets" has lost a lot of its "mystique" perhaps.

Social Media giants are getting hit with more state level censorship related censures.

Famous social media stock pumpers now talking about their losses and not their sort of dart-throwing based "gains".

The Vision Fund and Jack Ma(two different phenomena but semi-associated regarding personal histories of Jack Ma and founder of Softbank) are mysteriously, practically MIA from the headlines.

The "everybody gets one" market is perhaps losing its sheen.

Robin-Hood is seen with greater suspicion than wonder/curiosity perhaps.

__

Together, I feel as though these trends are sort of dubious for the market; in that these "moments" in this "current" trend, are not about new, and or necessarily bullish etc. developments.  Alternatively, these events may be signifying perhaps, at least superficially, the end/transition away from a bullish, semi-manic overall trend.  Hence, perhaps the question is raised as to whether or not the stock market may continue on with its current program with most of the stars of the season having left the production.

__

Whether these changes are bearish or bullish, in general, is perhaps to be seen, but perhaps a new day and or production calendar is rolling out for the markets one way or another it seems.

__

Looking back, this was perhaps a fun sort of Mardi-Gras market vibe either way, even if more of a potential learning experience than a "bonanza" for many.  Whether one was chasing beads around busy streets, or throwing them from the tops of floats, proverbially speaking, I hope everyone had a fun time with this sort of intriguing "liminal phase" type market :).
