The Board of Directors of Baxter International Inc. (NYSE: BAX) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.29 per share of Baxter common stock. This payment represents a continuation of the current rate, which the company increased 12 percent earlier this year. The quarterly dividend is payable on July 1, 2010 to shareholders of record as of June 10, 2010.

This is a 3% increase over the $0.29 per share paid in the second quarter of 2009.  The dividend payout of approximately $13.1 million on 43.5 million shares is payable July 1, 2010. United has increased its dividend to shareholders for 36 consecutive years.
