Going Defensive

September looms; a bad month for equities.  The Hindenburg Omen has appeared twice.  Volume continues to be anemic on Wall Street and Main Street is pulling their money out of mutual funds and 401Ks in a months-long move that has become a trend.  Housing went off a cliff that nobody knows the true depths of and the rest of the economic data looks bleak or at best shows stagnation.  We've had an impressive stock market recovery since the March 2009 lows, for no reason.  PE ratios are starting to look too expensive.  Government continues to intervene in the free market and encourage business to move overseas.  All this has led me to believe it is time to go even more defensive by going to cash and precious metals and doing some more "prepping."  Good luck!
