Sun Resources Confirms Westward Extension Of Texas Woodbine Oil Zones

Sun Resources' (ASX: SUR) second Woodbine well in Leon County, Texas, has confirmed the westward extension of all three hydrocarbon bearing zones observed in the first well.

Wireline logging carried out by operator Richland Resources Corporation after the John Beeler-1H well reached its total vertical depth of 7,250 feet (2.210 metres), confirmed hydrocarbon pay in the Woodbine A and B as well as the Sub-Clarksville formations.

Drilling of the 7,000 feet horizontal section in the Woodbine A Formation, the same zone that is being completed in Beeler-1H will begin immediately.

John Beeler-1H, which is located about 2,000 feet west of Beeler-1H, is expected to be drill, fracture stimulated and completed by mid-November 2012.

The joint venture is also preparing to run production casing and carry out a 32 stage frac of the Beelier-1H well after drilling the 6,100 feet lateral section.

This is expected to be completed by late October 2012.

The third well in the current program, Ellis-1H, is expected to spud on or around 7 October 2012 immediately after the Nabors M47 rig runs production casing at Beelier-1H.

Ellis-1H is expected to be drilled, fracced and completed by the end of November.

Sun has a 13.5417% working interest (10.1563% net revenue interest) in Beeler-1H and 16.67% working interest (12.5% NRI) in John Beeler-1H and Ellis-1H.
