Singh spent 10 years at Inco and Vale involved in process engineering, capital budgeting and feasibility study preparation related to nickel and iron ore projects.
During that time he worked on mining operations and projects in Canada, Brazil and New Caledonia and at refineries in China and Wales.
Singh was also a publishing mining equity research analyst at Macquarie Capital Markets in Toronto, covering development-stage and producing mining companies.
He currently serves as vice president of business development for Timmins Gold Corp, a mid-tier Toronto Stock Exchange-listed company with an operating gold mine in Mexico.
Singh is well known in the North American capital markets and will bring additional capability in raising the profile of the company as it progresses to a North American listing.
The location of the Buena Vista Iron project in the Americas makes it attractive for North American investors and the North American listing is expected to make it easier for them to invest in Nevada Iron.
Most recently the company notched a 40% increase in contained iron for the East Deposit in Nevada.
The deposit now hosts 28.8 million tonnes at 19.7% iron for 5.7 million tonnes of contained iron, including a higher grade core of 12 million tonnes at 25.9% iron for 3.1 million tonnes of contained iron.
The expanded resource, along with recent increases in the West Deposit and Section 5 resources that bring total contained resources at the Buena Vista Iron Project to 33.4 million tonnes, in turn supports the company's plans to develop a Phase 1 project producing 2.4 million tonnes per annum of high grade iron concentrate.
