Integra Mining appoints William Plyley as a director

Integra Mining (ASX: IGR) has proposed the appointment of William Plyley as a non-executive director following the resignation of Graeme Beissel from the position with effect from 12 October 2011.

Plyley has over 35 years operational experience in exploration, mining, processing, and management with substantial resources companies such as Placer Dome Inc, Normandy Mining Limited and Red Back Mining Inc.

He has been responsible for major mine developments in Ghana, West Africa and Australia and has also had significant roles in development and expansion of mines in Papua New Guinea.

Plyley recently retired from a role as chief operating officer of La Mancha Resources (TSE: LMA) where he was responsible for the development of the Frog’s Leg and White Foil mines near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and the operation of mines in Sudan and Cote d’Ivoire, Africa.

In the first month since a process plant upgrade at Randalls Gold Project, Integra exceeded expectations by producing 8,873 gold ounces in September 2011. With FY12 forecast cash costs of $550 an ounce and spot gold at record highs, this bodes well for project economics.
