Condor Blanco Mines Requests Halt, Pending Marianas Iron Scoping Study Report

Condor Blanco Mines (ASX:CDB) will look to release a scoping study/recovery report for the Marianas iron tailings project in northern Chile.

A trading halt for its shares is expected until Thursday, 14 November 2013 pending the release.

Recently, Condor entered into a Heads of Agreement with Lacerta Finance Mining and Spa for the production and processing of iron ore tailings from Marianas.

It flagged that a scoping study was not far away and results were to be interpreted by Condor.

A detailed assessment of the maximum amount of raw material which can be processed on site per month was completed and Condor reported the production and processing capacity was higher than initially estimated.

The Marianas Project is a tailings retreatment project, which exploits a combination of positive metallurgical, economic and environmental aspects of an estimated 11 million tonnes of magnetite-bearing historical tailings within the city of Copiapo in northern Chile.
