This adds to the approvals it has received for the flagship Kalengwa South permit and two of the Kalengwa East permits.
It is now waiting on confirmation of the Kalengwa permit renewals which are expected shortly prior to commencement of a maiden mapping and soil sampling program at Kalengwa South.
The program will comprise 1,000 metres by 500 metres line spacing over an area of approximately 520 square kilometres, collecting approximately 1,130 samples.
This targets three identified prospect areas at Kalengwa South; being Karibarembi, Chimena and Shirembwe.
Mapping of the results is intended to identify the source of transported soil anomalies that were the target of historical drilling at Kalengwa South in order to define targets for further exploration and drilling.
The Kalengwa South permit area was explored sporadically from the 1960's by a number of major mining companies who were focused on locating sub-surface oxide deposits.
Historical exploration has reported significant copper and gold mineralisation, including trench sampling at the Karibarembi Prospect that returned up to 39.4% copper and 9.02 grams per tonne gold within a 15 metre by 22 metre area.
Drilling at the same prospect had returned 7.3% copper over 3.2 metres, 5.7% copper over 1.5 metres and 4.8% copper over 3 metres.
