Mindax Director Steps Down

Mindax (ASX: MDX) non-executive director John Stacpoole has stepped down from the board.

Stacpoole has accepted a new full time executive role with a major contractor involved in the iron ore sector.

He stepped down from his role with Mindax to enable him to focus fully on his new role and ensure no personal conflict of interest arose.

Mindax recently appointed former Arafura Resources (ASX: ARU) managing director Stephen Ward as its new managing director and chief executive officer to assist the company in transitioning from explorer to producer.

Ward has over 30 years of experience in the mining, minerals processing and chemicals industries.

Mindax is advancing its Mt Forrest Iron Project in Western Australia with an increase in the total Resource to 1.7 billion tonnes at 31.8% iron through the consolidation of the two magnetite resource models used for the mineralisation.

Mt Forrest, a major iron mineralised system within the Yilgarn Iron Province, is progressing through feasibility with a view to mining at the end of 2014.
