I'm a big fan of making investments based on real world shifts in behavior. So considering the fact that everything is going(or is now?) online, I've made what I hope will be a couple of shrewd picks in the last 18 months. In particular I'm talking about Amazon.com Inc. eBay Inc.FedEx Corporation and United Parcel Service Inc. .
Why did I choose these? Simply, people are buying stuff online. Stuff needs to be delivered. Add to this the fact that the US seems to be going down the path to privatizing the postal service (something that came up after I made these picks, yay!) and I think this is pretty sound reasoning.
Did I check all the financial details of these companies before I had a go at them? No. Again, I made these decisions based on real world behavior. Think it's a sound investing strategy?
