Warren Buffet’s Replacement: Meet Mr. Li L

|Includes: Berkshire Hathaway Inc (BRK.A), BRK.B

 Last week The Wall Street Journal wrote an extensive article about Mr. Li Lu.

You might ask who’s that?

Well he might just be the next in line to become the successor for Warren Buffet and the $100 billion+ Berkshire Hathaway. Mr. Lu seems like a very bright mind and one who could continue the great runs Berkshire has always produced. Will he be as great as the Oracle?

“An investor who bought $1,000 of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock in 1965, after Mr. Buffet took control, would be worth more than $7 million today.”

Only time will tell though I do like his philosophy on investing;

Mr. Li told investors he took a lesson from watching the World Cup, comparing his investment style to soccer. “You may very well work extremely hard and seldom score,” he says. “But occasionally—very occasionally—you get one or two great chances and you make decisive strikes that really matter.”

The timetable for any transition is still unknown as Warren Buffet shuffles through the 600+ resumes he has received (one from a 4 year old) but when this time does come don’t be worried. Despite any management shuffles I believe Berkshire Hathaway is still a great investment for multiple reasons in which I elaborated in last weeks article The Oracle of Omaha: Buy Berkshire Hathaway it’s Undervalued.
