Another consolidation in the books... The markets finished the day flat for the most part with the exception of the Nasdaq (QQQQ) and Financials (NYSEARCA:XLF). The Nasdaq fell .5% and financials fell a little more than 1.5%. Those two indexes are normally the leaders, so any relative weakness shown by them can be considered an ominous sign. One day does not make a trend though, so we'll just have to take note of it and keep our eyes open to the possibility that they could lead the markets lower. The TICK was bullish today and the TRIN was bearish. Meanwhile, the VIX popped 4%, so that is a bearish sentiment read from the VIX.
