Thursday Morning Outlook

The loan market is quiet but bids have started the day firm; we are seeing on-the-run credits up about a quarter. This move is driven by equities, which were up overnight, and continued on this morning after the jobless numbers came in less than expected (5.157mm v. an est. 5.440mm) and international trade was better (-32.94b v. est. -36.80b). The Dow, S&P, and NASDAQ are all up about 0.75% this morning. We are expecting to see some action in American Axle, whose $400mm Senior Secured Bond issue prices today in the 9.5% context, via JPM. Their Amended and Extended term loan is currently marked at 97/98.375. The LCDX13 is currently marked at 98.875/96.0625 (+45c) and the HYCDX13 is at 95.75/95.9375 (+50c).
