Is The Public Sentiment Trending Towards Anger?

Has the public started to get it - or at least get interested? To check if public discussion of the financial crisis is trending up, I did some searches on Google trends. The derivatives are on the public's mind again. The following chart shows the mentions of the term "derivatives" in US Google searches and in US press between 10/08-10/09. One could say that never were derivatives so much on people's minds since the crash of 2008. In our usual lingo, one may wonder if the April resistance level would now prove to be a support for a breakout of public discussion of this topic.

Plus, pardon the lingo, notice that the movement of public interest has now "decoupled" from press mentions.
