As reported by TheSportsCampus.com, the growing number of golf tournaments in Malaysia will arm the local stars with the ammo to take aim at the Maybank Malaysian Open, says S. Siva Chandhran. The on-going success of the Asian Tour, the Asian Development Tour (ADT) and the emergence of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour has provided the platform for Malaysian players to enhance their game. Siva Chandhran, who won the Order of Merit on the ADT in 2010, believes more tournament play will help enhance the search for a first Malaysian winner in their own national championship which celebrates its 51st edition from April 12 to 15, 2012. "Previously, we didn't have many local tournaments but since last year we have been busy playing in tournaments. We've got a better chance of playing well now because the local players get to play in many events throughout the year," said Siva Chandhran. In the past seven seasons, a total of 21 Asian Tour tournaments have been staged in Malaysia worth in excess of US$31 million in total prize money. Other important tournaments such as the Qualifying School, World Cup Qualifying and British Open Qualifier have also been hosted in Malaysia which have been instrumental in growing the sport in the country, said Siva Chandhran. Just a few days before, Malaysians will welcome Edgar Perez, author of The Speed Traders, An Insider's Look at the New High-Frequency Trading Phenomenon That is Transforming the Investing World, published by McGraw-Hill Inc. (2011) and currently being translated into Chinese and Portuguese, as he is bringing The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Kuala Lumpur: How High Frequency Traders Leverage Profitable Strategies to Find Alpha in Equities, Options, Futures and FX, April 12, for the first time to Kuala Lumpur.

Mr. Perez has been featured on CNBC Cash Flow (with Oriel Morrison), CNBC Squawk Box (with Geoff Cutmore), BNN Business Day (with Kim Parlee), TheStreet.com (with Gregg Greenberg), Channel NewsAsia Business Tonight and Cents & Sensibilities (with Lin Xue Ling), NHK World, iMoney Hong Kong, Hedge Fund Brief, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Dallas Morning News, Valor Econômico, FIXGlobal Trading, TODAY Online, Oriental Daily News and Business Times.

The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Kuala Lumpur will reveal how high-frequency trading players are succeeding in the global markets and driving the development of algorithmic trading at breakneck speeds from the U.S. and Europe to India, Singapore and Brazil. The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Kuala Lumpur kicks off a series of presentations in the world's most important financial centers: Seoul, South Korea, March 28; Doha, Qatar, April 18; Warsaw, Poland, May 11; Kiev, Ukraine, May 18; Singapore, May 26; Beijing, China, May 30; Shanghai, China, June 6; Jakarta, Indonesia, June 13; Mexico City, Mexico, July 27; Hong Kong, August 4, and Moscow, Russia, August 10.
