CNN news (as well as Al Jazeera) reported that Israel's miltary has unveiled a new drone aircraft today (Sunday, Feb. 21). With a wingspan equal to Boeing's 737, the UAV is capable of 20 hours of flight time, meaning it can reach the Gulf (as well as Iran). The Heron TP, as the aircraft is called, is weapons capable, as well as the more usual surveillance capability, for which drones were originally developed.
No doubt, the announcement will raise tensions in the Middle East, at least somewhat, which would, in all likelihood, put upward pressure on oil, gold, and the USD.
