Today the markets jumped. After gapping up at the open, they were largely flat all day, with sell-offs on high volume right as the market closed. There was huge initial accumulation right as the market opened, then there was the gap up, and right at the end sell-offs almost as big as the initial buying. The gap up this morning was unexpected, especially after the news about the crisis spreading to Spain this morning on the cover of the Wall Street Journal. This is probably an opportunity that the big money created to enter short positions. I joined the fun and entered one of my own right as the market closed. Potash seems to be in a good spot regardless of the overall market, so I'm holding on to it for now. It should be interesting to see what the rest of the week brings.
