Stock Market News Update for Thursday, December 02, 2010

Thursday saw Wall Street turned bullish, after opening with apprehension, in the morning, as the bulls cheered an unexpected jump in pending home sales and the euro climbing out of the red.

Led by rallying commercial banks, the Dow climbed another 100 points Thursday afternoon, tacking onto Wednesday's sea of green, amid enthusiasm for a surprise surge in pending home sales and another rebound for the turbulent euro.

U.S. stocks rallied 1% by close of the session, building on the previous session's big gains, as investors cheered strong retail sales and welcomed the European Central Bank's plan to extend liquidity measures.
