To Margin or Not to Margin

Many popular analysts will advise you not to play the margin, due to the risk of losing more than you have invested. The bigger you are, the more careful you must be to protect your liability to the average Joe invester. On the other hand, a conservative margin user can be your best chance to kind of, "Hedge" your investments. My advice, as a fairly successful trader, is to go no more than 25% in to your margin...and by no means should you use it on a long shot, because you will more than likely be eating macaroni and cheese to make up your losses. Choose your investments wisely, play the big boy stocks and use your margin on semi-success stories, that way if you get a blip to the low side, it won't eat in to your margin. Don't worry, leave your emotions in the closet and everything will be alright in the long run. The bigger stocks will not eat in to your margin, if you have chosen wisely. Do your homework and your nest-egg will grow faster than you think.
