Walmart (WMT) Announces New Wireless Telephone Service

In a press release on Monday, September 13th, Walmart (NYSE: WMT) announced that it will be launching a new wireless telephone service coined "Walmart Family Mobile." According to the press release, Walmart claims that the service is "featuring the lowest priced unlimited talk and text wireless family plans." This is not the familiar prepaid plans that Walmart already provides. This is a post-paid plan which is paid after the usage is incurred like a traditional cell phone plan. This is not actually a Walmart service, per say, as it will actually be hosted on Deutsche Telekom's (NYSE: DT) T-Mobile network, but it will be managed and run by Walmart.
