Leaving Depression

In the Wall Street Journal by Elizabeth Bernstein (A Way Out of Depression), Sept. 7, 2010. ({PJ}pg.1\4).Nearly 15 million American adults experience a depressive episode each year. Yet, as a result of the condition, very few people inflicted with a mental health disease have the ability or willingness to seek professional help. Experts encourage people to avoid arguments over whether your loved one is depressed; instead be gentle, don’t reason, work as a team, focus on obvious problems, and leverage your love.  The article gives several symptoms a person who is depressed may be exhibiting such as sleep problems, low energy, significant weight loss or gain, poor appetite and thoughts of death and suicide.
