Tweet this: Twitter worth $1.6B? Another Bebo in the making.

Is it Deja vu time? Name another company that was bought for $1.6B years ago?  So who are the most likely acquirers? Google and Apple both have more cash than the US government and can literally buy anything without any real shareholder concerns. Now while I am sure there are other potential suitors these two are most logical for one simple reason. No one else can afford to pull a Bebo. What is a Bebo? An acquisition of almost a billion dollars that is worthless 2 years later. Unless of course you are trying to generate hundreds of millions in tax loses. Is there a business case in that? I mean how can any company that is basically "revenue free" and has no real business plan be worth $1.6B? But in reality they are worth what someone will pay for them. In this case if the stock is supposedly worth $1.6B already would they have to pay a premium? Stay tuned but if they don't sell out soon some one may have to Digg them a grave.
