Recently released figures show that, for the first time in a year, the overall unemployment numbers in the 17 countries that use the Euro haven't fallen. According to Eurostat, the number of people employed "was broadly unchanged between April and June."
Individual countries also had some positive employment figures. Italy, for example, reported a 0.6% Y/Y gain in employment, the first increase in a year. Spain, despite having a 0.4% decline in employment, had the smallest fall in 2012.
