NCI, Inc. (NCIT) Reports Solid Third Quarter Profits

NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ:NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (NYSE:IT), engineering, logistics, and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, announced today results for the third quarter of 2010.

NCIT reported third quarter revenues of $169 million, compared to $130 million for the third quarter of 2009.

This represents a growth rate of 30% and an organic growth rate of 28%, which reflects our increase in revenue from year to year excluding the effect of acquisitions. Operating income for the third quarter of 2010 was $10.1 million, compared to $9.4 million for the third quarter of 2009.

Net income for the third quarter was $6.1 million, compared to $5.6 million for the same period in 2009. Diluted earnings per share for the third quarter of 2010 were $0.44 per share, compared to $0.41 per share for the comparable period in 2009.

NCI, Inc. (NCIT) is moving forward with a share repurchase program of up to $25 million of outstanding common stock, following approval from the board of directors.
