Fortune Bay Corp. (TSXV:FOR) (OTC:FTBYF) has announced a new Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its 100 percent-owned Goldfields Project in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. Some highlights include: Indicated Mineral Resources of 975,000 oz of gold (22.6 million tonnes at an average grade of 1.34 g/t), and Inferred Mineral Resources of 176,000 oz of gold (6.0 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.92 g/t). Fortune Bay’s CEO, Dale Verran, said:
"The resource estimate marks an important milestone for the Goldfields Project by confirming almost one million Indicated ounces of open-pit constrained gold within a more reliable and geologically representative estimate. A significant amount of work, in both the office and field, has gone into preparing the estimate which has included verification of the vast historical data set, the development of new detailed geological and mineralization models for both deposits, and a comprehensive estimation process."
Defense Metals Corp. (TSXV:DEFN) (OTCQB:DFMTF) has been notified by Welsbach Holdings Pte Ltd. that is has received requests from two interested third-party Rare Earth Element (REE) processors for samples of high-grade REE mineral concentrate for the purposes of evaluation prior to entering discussions with respect to the negotiation of an initial memorandum of understanding (MOU) and subsequent potential mineral concentrate offtake agreements. Defense Metals CEO Craig Taylor commented:
"We are extremely pleased that Welsbach has successfully identified two REE processors interested in receiving representative samples of our high-grade Wicheeda REE Deposit mineral concentrate. These requests represent a major step forward in our efforts to assess the market potential of long-term REE mineral concentrate offtake sale agreements."
Contact Gold Corp. (TSXV:C) has reported its financial and operating results for the year ended December 31, 2020. Some highlights include the completion of 41 drill holes over 5,785 metres in the 2020 drill program at the company’s Green Springs property, as well as the approval for a Plan of Operations at the company’s Pony Creek project.
Masivo Silver Corp. (TSXV:MASS) has signed a letter of interest (LOI) for an option agreement with Great Lakes Exploration and is moving very quickly towards a definitive agreement. Such an agreement, according to the press release, will give Masivo “the right to earn a 100% interest in a highly prospective silver-gold-copper project in Elko County in northeastern Nevada.” Masivo Silver Corp. CEO David Coburn said:
“We are very excited to acquire a highly prospective silver-gold-copper property in a well-established mining state such as Nevada. The property has high historic values of silver, gold and copper as well as drill-ready targets defined by geophysical surveys and surface prospects."
