Bakkt Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:BKKT) has announced a partnership with food delivery service BringMeThat.com. This will see Bakkt integrated as a payment option within BringMeThat.com’s web and mobile experiences, “allowing customers to pay with cash, participating points or crypto that they hold in the Bakkt App.” Sheela Zemlin, Chief Revenue Officer at Bakkt, said:
"Our partnership with BringMeThat.com is an exciting step as Bakkt diversifies its offerings to dynamic sectors of the economy and opens the door for millions of gig workers and consumers to leverage digital assets into their income and payment methods. Bakkt’s partnership with BringMeThat.com will enable a number of new ways to enjoy digital assets, whether using participating rewards points to pay for food delivery or getting paid in bitcoin or Ethereum [ETH] on your delivery run as part of a rapidly growing base of gig economy workers."
CleanSpark, Inc. (NasdaqCM:CLSK) has marked the one-year anniversary of its bitcoin (BTC) mining operations. According to the press release, “CleanSpark draws on its clean energy background to take an efficient approach to Bitcoin’s high energy usage.” Rich Inman, the company’s vice president of technology, explained:
"As a company, CleanSpark has consistently been committed to increasing clean, reliable, distributed energy into the world's electrical grids. Coupling our expanding cryptocurrency mining operations with additional clean energy resources both onsite and in the surrounding communities is integral to our core values as stewards for the environment. With increasing energy crises, it is more important now than ever to maximize efficiency and minimize the carbon footprint of our operations.”
Future FinTech Group Inc. (NasdaqCM:FTFT) has signed a Cooperation Agreement with APC Service Ltd. to establish a joint venture in Ohio, to build a cryptocurrency mining farm. The project’s first phase will aim for 50MW of processing power, “which, if successful, could be expanded to a total project size of 300MW.” Future FinTech’s CEO, Shanchun Huang, said:
"We are actively planning and developing a global expansion strategy for our cryptocurrency mining business. Our strategic plan for this business is to develop cryptocurrency mining farms with relatively low start-up costs and economical sustainable energy in different regions of the world, and accelerate their deployment using our capabilities or through cooperation agreements with very strong partners. We believe that our cooperation agreement with APC to build a cryptocurrency farm in Ohio will be very positive for both parties."
