Leading cloud and premises-based unified communications software solutions provider Mitel has announced that industry veteran Tim Gaines has been chosen to lead the company's sales team in the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America. An innovator in VoIP and communications technology, Gaines is the newest addition to Mitel's sales leadership team in the Americas, which continues to grow under the direction of Joe Vitalone, executive vice president of sales for the Americas.
Possessing more than two decades of sales and management experience, Gaines is a seasoned executive sales leader who has built and managed successful sales organizations for several companies. He has held senior positions for various organizations, including ShoreTel, where he served as Western regional vice president of sales for the past six years and, most recently, vice president of sales North America. Before that, Gaines served as vice president of sales at Covad Communications (now MegaPath); he also presided as general manager for a U.S. subsidiary of Fujitsu.
