How To Easily Create A Benchmark In Portfolio Visualizer

RV (User 10318561) showed me how to easily create a benchmark in Portfolio Visualizer (PV) without the need to cut and paste into a csv file. There is a tab under "Market Timing Results" right after the table of results that says "Save timing model." If you click on "Save timing model," PV will first ask you to login. After login, you can again click on "Save timing model" and select the save option of "Benchmark" and not the default save option of "Timing Model." You have to go to the benchmark files and create a ticker name for the file you created, but everything else is done for you. You can use the ticker of the strategy's results the same way you use any other ticker.

It makes the creation of a benchmark file in PV much easier than cutting and pasting into a csv file and importing the file.

This feature of saving benchmark files of results allows a PV user to benchmark multiple strategies together or use a strategy as an out-of-market asset (instead of a single asset).
