Summary

  • A link is presented to a Google spreadsheet that determines the selection each month for the ELVS-1 strategy

Greg Katai has created Google and Excel spreadsheets that handle the calculations for the ELVS-1 strategy that I have created. The ELVS-1 strategy is discussed in this SA article: http://bit.ly/2nksgNx.

Here are the links to the spreadsheet for the latest version:

1) Google link: this link takes you to a view-only version. You copy it to your own Google Drive which is a part of your gmail account, and you can then edit it from there. bit.ly/ELVS-1_Google

2) Excel link: this link takes you to a view-only version in Dropbox. In the upper right corner you see Share, Open, and "...". Under "..." there is a download option. Download it to your computer and you can then edit it from there as long as you have have Excel. bit.ly/ELVS-1_Excel

Here is Greg's write-up:

The goal of this spreadsheet is to speed up the calculations to determine the fund selection at EOM for the ELVS-1 strategy. In the sheet you can click the web page links to PerfCharts and Morningstar to get the following data for each of the 5 funds in the strategy: 15 day return, 2 month return, EOM distribution, and closing price at EOM. Enter this data, and the rest is automatically calculated. Expected time to complete the selection process is 15 minutes.

Thanks, Greg!
