New Energy Technologies, Inc...A simple Idea worth millions...or just another dream?

Here is a brief description of NENED that can be found anywhere. New Energy Technologies, Inc. is a development-stage company. The Company conducts its operations through two wholly owned subsidiaries: Kinetic Energy Corporation (KEC) and New Energy Solar Corporation (New Energy Solar). The Company focuses on the development of two technologies: MotionPower Technology for capturing the kinetic energy of moving vehicles to generate electricity, and SolarWindow Technology, which enables see-thru windows to generate electricity by spraying glass surfaces with its electricity-generating coatings. It has filed nine patent applications for inventions related to its MotionPower Technology and one for its SolarWindow Technology. As of August 31, 2010, it had no commercial products. As of August 31, 2010, it had no revenues.

They propose a simple idea:"There are nearly 5 million commercial buildings in America, according to the Energy Information Administration, and more than 80 million single detached homes. New Energys SolarWindowtechnology is under development for commercial application in such buildings". Outstanding performance using artificial light. “The addition of NRELs world-class solar research group to our ongoing efforts at the University of South Florida marks a significant step forward for our Company and our SolarWindowtechnology,” explained Mr. John A. Conklin, President & CEO of New Energy Technologies, Inc.

All of the above are statements that can be easily found with a simple google search. Yes it is a great idea! The "Idea Fairy" visits random people at random times. Here is my problem with this wonderful idea, installing this on 80+million houses no problem! No installing this efficiently on a skyscraper in NYC, that is a bit challenging. For those of you that are not electrically savvy here's a little "down and dirty" opinion. First, the installation of the film, second, the wiring (that is the most challenging), third, the power distribution been able to supply somehow the basic needs of the building without having to rewire the entire building etc. (enough with the electrical) back to money. If you have faith in this idea, have at it. They say the difference between been crazy and being a true genius is the amount of success achieved. I will be watching this company till their product hits the market, when it does it is either going to be a "grand slam" or "epic failure".
